Julie Talbot is an attorney at Perez Mayoral. Ms. Talbot began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for Miami-Dade County, where she represented hundreds of clients on cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony charges and conducted several jury trials. After Ms. Talbot left the Public Defender’s office, she honed her civil litigation skills in Miami-Dade County, focusing on association law, commercial litigation, property damage and premises liability. She has advocated on behalf of clients in arbitrations, litigation, and several administrative proceedings. She has played a key role in drafting several successful appellate briefs for Perez Mayoral, P.A. and has provided valuable consultation on numerous appeals. Ms. Talbot is a staunch advocate for homeowners and fights to overcome the injustices caused by associations.
Ms. Talbot is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology before attending Florida International University College of Law. While earning her Juris Doctorate at FIU, Ms. Talbot worked as a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing courses; competed numerous times for the Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocacy; served as the Trial Team Vice President, competing in multiple mock trial competitions; and achieved Dean’s List.
Drawing on her extensive and diverse legal experience, Ms. Talbot is dedicated to finding justice for her clients, no matter how challenging the case. She is unafraid of taking on any case or fight, utilizing her comprehensive background in both criminal defense and civil litigation to achieve the best possible outcomes.
When she is not working, Ms. Talbot enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her two dogs.
