Maria Agudelo, Esq. is trial counsel in the association property damage division at Perez Mayoral, P.A., where she focuses on representing homeowners in property damage disputes with their homeowners associations, condominium associations, and cooperative associations across the state of Florida. She has extensive experience with a wide range of cases, from single-family homes to complex condominium disputes, including catastrophic losses caused by fire, drainage failures, compromised foundations, roof defects, water intrusion, and stucco or exterior wall failures. Maria brings a strategic and detail-oriented approach to resolving these challenging disputes, specializing in complex litigation within the association context.

Maria’s path to practicing law includes over eight years of progressive experience in the legal industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Miami, where she later completed her paralegal certification while working full-time as a legal assistant handling complex commercial collection matters. She then gained valuable experience in first-party property litigation before attending Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. During law school, she worked at an insurance defense firm focusing on bodily injury matters while actively participating in the NSU Trial Association, where she both competed and mentored first and second-year law students in trial advocacy. This diverse experience across multiple areas of law, combined with her roles on both the plaintiff and defense sides, has provided her with a well-rounded foundation in litigation practice. She was also an engaged member of the Hispanic Student Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta Chapter.
